LOS ANGELES —Wicked Pictures has entered into an exclusive U.S. broadcast distribution deal with Pure Play Broadcasting.
The VOD agreement commenced on May 18.
Pure Play executive vide president of distribution Lisa Sumja and Wicked vice president of international sales and licensing Steven Vlottes made the announcement at the recent National Cable & Telecommunications Association’s 2012 Cable Show in Boston.
“I believe this relationship is going to be very, very beneficial to us in the months ahead,” Vlottes said. “Lisa Sumja is very goal-oriented and has terrific product knowledge. She's working tirelessly to position both our features and other product lines for maximum exposure. I see her raising our brand's visibility in adult programming to an entirely new level."
Wicked said that Pure Play Broadcasting has established itself as one of the leading providers of adult broadcast content, currently delivering more than 100 hours of quality programming each month.
“I believe our new deal will be beneficial for both companies. Richard Arnold and Lynette Lanning have both been extremely professional and a pleasure to work with over the years in the Canadian market, and I look forward to seeing what they can accomplish in the U.S,” Wicked Pictures President and owner Steve Orenstein said.
News of the arrangement comes as Wicked is preparing to release two major titles for 2012 — the big-budget spoof “Men In Black: A Hardcore Parody,” and the end-of-the-world drama “Countdown.”
