According to Coquette Public Relations Director Jennifer Jean, the nominations reflect the Canadian-based company’s growing presence in Europe.
Udo Scholze, manager of Coquette’s European headquarters in Germany, announced that the company had been nominated for Best Erotic Clothing Brand, and said that support from clients has been “overwhelming.”
“We would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to ETO for this nomination,” Scholze said. “It is an absolute honor to be recognized for our erotic designs and we look forward to continued growth in the European market.”
As it turns out, distributing Coquette merchandize can pay dividends come awards time, as English-based Not-Taboo discovered when it received news that the company had been nominated in the Best Lingerie Distributor category.
“It is such a pleasure serving our customers, and to have this service recognized by ETO is thrilling,” Sam Maristani, co-owner of Not-Taboo, said. “We would like to extend our special thanks to our customers for continuing to give us the opportunity to serve them.”
Both Coquette and Not-Taboo have been in business for more than 25 years, as designers and distributors, respectively.
The 2006 ETO Awards will be held in Birmingham, England July 23.
