LOS ANGELES — Shannon, a twenty-something graduate student with a penchant for scripted adult features, is the grand prize winner in Wicked Pictures' Beyond the Countdown contest, a writing challenge in which fans were asked to pen a sequel to the studio's Brad Armstrong-directed apocalyptic drama “Countdown.”
As the big winner, Shannon enjoyed an afternoon visit to the Griffith Observatory on Sunday with Armstrong and Wicked exclusive Jessica Drake. The trio took in the solar eclipse and later dined at popular Japanese restaurant Katsuya.
“I love Wicked. I honestly believe Brad Armstrong makes the best movies in the business,” Shannon said, adding that Drake was "the first feature entertainer I ever saw" and that she remained her "all-time favorite adult performer."
"Countdown” sets its story five days before a massive asteroid obliterates the Earth. The film stars Wicked Girls Drake, Kaylani Lei and Alektra Blue. Rounding out the cast are India Summer, Misty Stone, Dana DeArmond, Lezley Zen, Seth Gamble, Michael Vegas, Bill Bailey, Jack Lawrence, Derrick Pierce, Xander Corvus, Rocco Reed and Randy Spears in a non-sex role.
Details regarding Shannon's winning script were not provided. "Countdown" is slated for release this summer. A SFW trailer can be seen here.
