Porn Icon Houston Publishes Autobiography 'Pretty Enough'

LAS VEGAS — Houston has published a memoir documenting the ups-and-downs and ins-and-outs of her life as one of the '90s most infamous gonzo performers.

Written by Houston — real name Kim Halsey — with musician/artist Charles Lupula, “Houston: Pretty Enough, The Story of the Gang Bang Queen” is a truthful and un-romantized account of the ‘starlet’s most memorable moments and some of her more private experiences.

Houston broke into the adult industry in 1995 and quickly built a dedicated fan base by churning out performances in jaw-droppingly extreme hardcore productions, including the 1999 career-making Metro releases “World’s Biggest Gang Bang 3: The Houston 620” and “Buried Alive Bukkake.”

Houston’s antics soon caught the attention of shock-jock Howard Stern, who frequently featured the busty California native on his nationally syndicated radio program “The Howard Stern Show.” The appearances proved to be almost as popular as her films due to stunts that found her auctioning off her labia and attending prom with an 18-year-old high school student.

Bouts with cancer and the real estate market (she worked as a realtor in Las Vegas) followed after her retirement from adult in 2005. But, according to friend and peer Ron Jeremy, Houston has “reconnected with God” and found “a little peace in her life.”

He writes in the book’s foreword, “At this point in her life, she doesn’t overly praise porn but nor does she condemn it, so as a reader you’ll get to see a bit behind the curtain. She has lived an exciting life and I have been happy to known her during the vast majority of it. How could this book even possibly not be interesting?”

“Houston: Pretty Enough, The Story of the Gang Bang Queen” is now available for purchase at Amazon.com. Autographed copies can also be bought at her HoustonPrettyEnoughStore.com.
