Under the agreement, Hustler TV will have access to both companies’ film libraries for use on its pay-per-view and video-on-demand services.
Defiance Films was launched in early 2005 and described by co-owner Keith O’Connor as “Vivid meets Red Light District.” The company also launched Torrid Entertainment last year, allowing female stars such as Taylor Rain, Lauren Phoenix and Jade Marcela to move behind the camera.
LFP Broadcasting President Michael Klein said the decision to pick up Defiance and Torrid products was based on the companies’ strong DVD sales and rentals.
“We are delighted to add Defiance Films and Torrid Entertainment to our ever expanding product that is only available on Hustler TV,” Klein said. “This agreement continues our unprecedented commitment to offering our customers the most popular and profitable titles available.”
Anthony Simone, head of sales for both Defiance Films and Torrid Entertainment, said he is excited to have his companies associated with the best-known name in porn, and he expects Hustler TV viewers will be equally happy to have access to Defiance/Torrid movies.
“Our unique, highly appealing programming is just what operator’s are looking for to drive revenues and maximize viewer satisfaction,” Simone said.
Launched in April 2004, Hustler TV is now available in more than 34 countries with new system launches every month. In the past year, Hustler TV has signed distribution agreements with Red Light District, Sex Z, Evil Angel, Teravision and Jules Jordan Video.
