LOS ANGELES — A new mainstream documentary focusing on what happens to porn stars after they leave the industry is set to bow May 21.
The feature length film, “After Porn Ends,” by filmmaker Bryce Wagoner includes interviews with 13 former and current adult stars, including Mary Carey, Houston, Crissy Moran, Raylene, Asia Carrera, Seka, Randy West, Amber Lynn, Bill Margold, Tyffany Million, the late John Leslie, Nina Hartley, anti-porn advocate Shelley Lubben, Richard Pacheco and former gossip columnist Luke Ford.
"After Porn Ends" also includes the insights of Dr. Neil Malamuth, a Professor of Psychology, Communication and Women's Studies at UCLA who wrote a book and teaches a class on the harmful effects of pornography on individuals and how society deals with them.
The Oxymoron Entertainment-produced movie is described as exploring the ups and downs of what happens to porn actors after they leave the business and attempt to resume "normal" lives.
Set for On Demand release May 21 by Gravitas Ventures, LLC, the producers said the film could reach 100 million households.
The film is available now for pre-purchase on iTunes and will be released on DVD August 21.
A special press screening will take place at the Paramount Studios in Los Angeles on May 15 at 7 p.m. featuring a post-film Q&A session with Mary Carey, Crissy Moran, producers Christopher Mallick and Andy Weiss, and director Wagoner.
