Ousted Porn Star Teacher Plans Appeal

OXNARD, Calif. — Science teacher and former porn star Stacie Halas, fired from her job at the Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School last week is fighting back.

The 31-year old, who allegedly appeared in the film “Big Sausage Pizza” and other hardcore movies under the name Tiffany Six before she was an educator, got the ax when district officials decided that keeping her on would disrupt the school.

But her lawyer, Richard Schwab, told the Ventura County Star that the porn allegations involved conduct before she became a teacher in 2009.

"We disagree with the decision by the board to dismiss or seek the dismissal of Miss Halas. It is our intention at this time to vigorously contest the charges.

"The type of conduct she engaged in was lawful conduct in a business which, while others may disagree with its content, is very vibrant in both Los Angeles as well as the state of California," Schwab said.

The incident came to light in early March when some students told school administrators that they saw a female teacher in a porn video.

School officials then confirmed Halas’s performance by using a smart phone and ultimately fired her after a closed-door meeting last Wednesday evening.

According to Schwab, Halas has been traumatized by the situation.

"However, she is up for the task for defending not only her interest, but also other young individuals who may have ... found they had been exploited or taken advantage of, and were able to rise above it and make a change," Schwab said.

"It's certainly laudable on her part that she was able to get out ... and go into a profession," he said. "Unless the lesson is that if you make a mistake, then it's irreparable."
