WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration is warning consumers about X-Rock, a sexual enhancement product manufactured by CRM Laboratories and sold on various websites, including XRockMe.com.
FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that X-Rock contains sildenafil, commonly marketed as Viagra, and hydroxythiohomosildenafil, an analog of sildenafil
The drug may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Men with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol or heart disease often take nitrates.
Consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and throw them away.
XRockMe.com still markets the pills on its site, selling them for $9.95 a piece.
The site advertises X-Rock as an herbal supplement with natural ingredients. It even pitches the slogan, "Don't take drugs like Viagra, Cialis and Levitra."
