HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Former sex worker Shawna Kenney’s (pictured) memoir "I Was a Teenage Dominatrix" is coming to the small-screen courtesy of the FX television network and Vince Vaughn's Wild West Picture Show Productions.
The series, currently being developed under the working title "Whipped," will follow Kenney's experiences as a dominatrix during the early '90s while studying at American University in Washington, D.C. Much of the program's drama will focus on her relationships with the elected government officials and big business CEOs who paid her generously to bust their balls.
According to entertainment website Vulture, "Californication" and "Gilmore Girls" Co-Executive Producer Gina Fattore has been tapped as showrunner for the series.
News of the show comes hot on the stiletto-ed heels of Universal Pictures' movie rights purchase of E.L. James’s 50 Shades of Grey, a BDSM romance trilogy currently sitting atop of the New York Times Best Sellers List (Fiction).
