LONDON — The Adult Industry Trade Association is reporting that an adult performer in the U.K. has tested positive for HIV. The individual has been re-tested and results are expected Thursday.
The AITA said via press release that they are in contact with the concerned performer and will post updates on their website as they become available. The group also announced that all major U.K. producers have ceased production until further notice is provided.
U.K.-based AITA serves to promote the best interests of the adult goods and services industry throughout the European Union by securing a legal and non-discriminatory environment for all adult businesses to operate within.
The organization does so by coordinating national campaigns of lobbying government on adult industry issue, as well as connecting individual members of the industry together and providing an information network for the industry.
