INDIA — Adult star Sunny Leone is currently in the city of Jaipur shooting "Jism 2," the much buzzed about sequel to director Pooja Bhatt's beloved erotic drama "Jism."
The 30-year-old stunner plays Izna, the film's cunning and beautiful seductress whose courtship by two men leads to potentially dangerous consequences.
The role is meant to be Leone's Bollywood acting debut, but, according to IBN.com, Philippines-based filmmaker Stegath Dorr is looking to take that claim by attempting to secure a release in India for "Black Shama," a horror film he produced, directed and starred in with Leone.
Dorr admits to the site that his goal is to capitalize on Leone's budding popularity in India, but that Hindi audiences will nonetheless "connect" with the film because it's an "old-fashioned ghost story" in which Leone portrays a "Canadian-Sikh professional female photographer" who turns into a vengeful witch.
"Black Shama" was shot in the province of Cebu in the Philippines last summer and is the second collaboration between Dorr and Leone. The duo's previous effort was the shelved 2008 thriller "Pirate's Blood," shot in Kerala, India.
