Galaxy Awards Organizers Release List of Nominees in Europe, U.S

BARCELONA  Organizers of the Galaxy Awards have released its list of nominees in the various geographical areas of the competition including Spain, Europe and the U.S.

The awards were created last year to recognize the best talent on the Internet. In addition to the usual categories that emphasize individual work, as the Best Male or Female Performer, other specific categories include Best Series, Best Website and Best Network.

The selection process of these awards is divided into three rounds. The first, which decides the nominees, is run by a group of experts; the second, from which the finalists come, are decided by the fans through their votes on the official website.

The winner goes through the criteria of the professionals, who evaluate their peers.

To have the option to win, nominees must be one of the three that received the most support in their category during the period in which the public voting is open.

Event organizers say social networks play a vital role to get the nominations.

The Galaxy Awards will take place April 20 at the Hotel Eurostars Grand Marina in Barcelona, Spain.

This is the first time that there will be a live gala, as last year the Galaxy Awards took place entirely online.
