LAS VEGAS – The spring edition of the International Lingerie Show is officially underway with attendees and exhibitors geared up for a productive three days.
Intimate Organics made its return to ILS with a booth showcasing the company’s latest release of flavored lubes that features innovative flavors such as Vanilla Chai.
“We’re expecting a good show,” Intimate Organic’s Rebecca Powley said. “It’s already better than expected.”
Lovely Planet attends ILS for the third year in a row to showcase it’s Maison Close line of high-end lingerie, which has gained plenty of mainstream exposure in magazines such as Elle, Cosmo and Inked. Lovely Planet also showcased it collections of pleasure products brands, which includes Marc Dorcel, Love to Love and Mix Gliss lube.
According to Aurelie Diallo-Moore, Lovely Planet’s sales manager, the European distributor is looking into establishing U.S. distribution of its brand.
“ILS is always great for us,” Diallo-Moore said, “We get great feedback on our pleasure products and lingerie; and it gives retailers a chance to see how Maison Close stands out as a high-end line. We’re looking forward to another great experience – making new contacts and revisiting with our current clients. 2011 was a great year for Lovely Planet and we’re looking into U.S. distribution.”
Megasol and Venus BodyCare also return to ILS with grand expectations. Megasol is debuting a revamped and reformulated Eros collection while Venus BodyCare continues to enjoy success with its line of bath and body products that debuted a year ago.
“It’s my first time here with Megasol and Venus BodyCare but already it’s been really great,” Megasol’s Miguel Rodriguez said. “We’ve had a lot of customers stop by and have expressed excitement over the new Megasol packaging that has been redesigned to be more couples-friendly.”
Eldorado reclaimed its massive, product-packed booth with a new concept that featured co-operative efforts on behalf of distributor’s many vendors.
“We giving expert presentations on a variety of products,” Eldorado owner Larry Garland said, “We have Dr. Jessica Cassaday and Ryan Cassaday discussing Intensity by Jopen and the Vanity line, as well as presentations from Kama Sutra, System Jo and Jelique. The people at G-World Lingerie were kind enough to send a model for our booth – we please to be the first in the country to offer their line. I’d also like to thank CalExotics for sending Jessica and Ryan, as well as our friends at Pipedream for staffing our booth with their experts, and everyone else involved, especially the Eldorado team.”
Jessica Cassaday adds, “CalExotics is definitely a brand that values education, and we happy to be here to discuss all of the health benefits that the Intensity offers.”
While conducting private meetings from within its suite, the Evolved Novelties team was dispersed throughout ILS, presenting its distinct female and male collections.
New additions to the Zero Tolerance Toys line includes Talk Dirty to Me hardcore audio CDs featuring adult stars Sasha Grey and Bree Olson, and Jack and Drive kit for men masturbating on the road. Evolved Novelties’ female-friendly offerings includes the Shots line, which is expanding with the addition of a variety of vibes that includes a soap with an inner vibrating bullet called Soap Friend. While staying hum on the details, Evolved’s Marcus West spoke excitedly of the soon-to-be-released additions to the Love Candy by Kendra line.
“You’ll continue to see the mainstreaming of products promoting love and romance,” West said, “and Evolved will be at the forefront. Our products are going to open up the topic for women to talk.”
