HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Tanya Tate is celebrating the first anniversary of her superhero cosplay blog, JustaLottaTanya.com.
Launched in March 2011, the site was originally intended as a blog for Tate to simply post her cosplay pictures, but the site quickly grew to encompass more aspects of geekdom as readership of the site rose.
"I never thought that it would become as successful as it has," Tate said. "It's been an amazing first year and I look forward to an even more exciting second year. I have a lot of upcoming things planned for the site and I'm very thrilled that people are enjoying JustaLottaTanya.com."
To celebrate the first anniversary of JustaLottaTanya.com, she will be doing special give-aways of signed merchandise throughout the month, which includes signed copies of the 2012 Panels on Pages Fan Girl of the Month calendar that features an animated version of Tate as a superhero.
Since JustaLottaTanya.com was launched, Tate has attained several geek titles in recognition of her exploits from noted mainstream entertainment websites.
"The great thing about Tanya's success in the comic book superhero world is that it has been all organic," said Alexander Raymond, producer of Tate's video reviews. "The geek culture knows when something is legit and that is where Tanya has excelled, she is a true geek. To her, being a geek is a lifestyle not a buzzword."
