HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — AdamAndEve.com has donated close to $75,000 to a number of charitable organizations.
Adam and Eve donated to a number of charities including Chapel Hill Breast Cancer Foundation, Relay for Life, American Heart Association, Duke Homecare and Hospice, and Orange and Alamance County Social Services.
The company also rounded out the year by holding fundraisers for a variety of local groups.
Also, since Adam and Eve matches contributions raised or given by employees, those efforts were doubled.
Donations were given to nonprofit groups spanning from international and national, to locally-based.
In addition to financial contributions, employees continued to donate their time and efforts to a number of local causes.
“Adam and Eve truly supports the community,” said Gina Phelps, a 19-year employee. “And many of these efforts are employee-driven … with the company’s support.”
Many employees participate in community service projects like Meals on Wheels, Adopt a Highway, blood drives, and animal rescue.
“I am proud to work for a company that takes such an interest in helping so many important causes,” said Matrisha Bradshaw, an 11-year employee.
With close to 375 employees, Adam & Eve and its parent company, PHE, Inc., are known in the community for their charitable efforts.
