VERONA, Wisc. — Bernie J. Fatla, owner and co-founder of Le Dame Footwear, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of Venture Humanity, Inc (VH), the parent company of NOW House Therapy Center and The Walk A Mile In Her Shoes Organization.
Formed in 2001 to build public awareness to domestic abuse and sexual violence issues, Walk A Mile In Her Shoes promotes walks across North America and Europe where men walk in red four-inch heel pumps to bring public awareness to the cause.
Le Dame Footwear has been providing shoes for the walks at a significant discount to the participating organizations as part of its effort to promote the cause. Le Dame Footwear also makes an annual donation to the Walk A Mile Organization, based on the total number of pairs of the “Natalie” sold.
”I am most honored and privileged to be elected to this board and am pleased that Le Dame Footwear as a small, privately-owned company can be part of something that affects so many lives,” Fatla said. “We all deserve to live our lives in a safe and secure environment and by participating in this good cause, we all can make a difference.”
Le Dame Footwear, a line of feminine styled footwear made in larger sizes, is available in cities around the world including: Chicago, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, San Jose, Moscow, Vancouver and soon Tokyo.
