Vicky Vette Honored With XBIZ Web Babe of the Year Award

LOS ANGELES — Adult star Vicky Vette scored the honor of Web Babe of the Year at the gala 2012 XBIZ Awards on Tuesday night.

This is the first XBIZ Award for Vette who is described as the world’s most followed active adult star on Twitter.  She was previously nominated for Web Babe in 2009 and 2010, and Best MILF Performer Website in 2011.

Vette said 2012 has started off as a strong Internet year for her. In addition to her impressive Twitter presence, she's signed stars Puma Swede and Julia Ann to her VNA Network of websites, was featured on comedy site FunnyorDie.com, and was named one of XBIZ’s Top 100 Newsmakers for the Year.

She has also nominated for Solo Girl Website of the Year and Twitter Sensation (fan voting) by AVN.

The star has also won a number of awards including Social Networking Sensation from FameRegistry.com, and Best Web Presence from Nightmoves.

"I was stunned and thrilled to win. I really did not think I was going to win especially with super popular stars like Kelly Madison and Gisele in the field. Doing well and having an Internet presence is critical to being a success in adult these days,” Vette said.

She added, "Acknowledgment for the hard work that goes into being successful on the net is gratifying. I have been in adult nine years (cough) and was told 'you don't have a shot of making it' more than once so the awards are really super cool. I have a lot planned for the year so this really got things off to an amazing start. I wanna thank all the girls and fans that support me on the net… without them I'd probably be a cashier at Walmart."
