HOLLYWOOD — Demi Moore has signed on to play the role of feminist Gloria Steinem, and Adam Brody will portray classic porn star Harry Reems in the Linda Lovelace biopic now in production.
Entertainment Weekly reported that the actors will join Amanda Seyfried who stars in "Lovelace" along with Eric Roberts, another new cast member who plays lie detector expert Nat Laurendi who grilled Lovelace as a fact-checker for her book, "Ordeal."
Producers of the $10 million budget, star-heavy film recently announced that actor James Franco was eyeing a small role as Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.
Other marquee names include Sharon Stone, Peter Sarsgaard, Juno Temple, and Wes Bentley along with co-stars Hank Azaria, Robert Patrick, Bobby Cannavale and Chris Noth.
The script is based Eric Danville’s bio, “The Complete Linda Lovelace,” that was published in 2001, a year before Lovelace died and is beining penned for the screen by Andy Bellin (“Trust”).
The movie is being directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (“Bowl,” “The Celluloid Closet”).
Another Lovelace film about the infamous "Deep Throat" star, “Inferno: A Linda Lovestace Story," is slated for a 2013 release and stars Malin Ackerman.
