LOS ANGELES — Severe Society Films said it is honored to be one of five companies nominated for the 2012 XBIZ Awards in the Fetish Studio of the Year category.
This will be the inaugural award in this category. In business since 2007, Severe Society Films specializes in producing high quality BDSM, fetish and kinky sex films.
"The XBIZ Awards nomination is a huge honor,” said Mistress D Severe, Severe Society co-owner and director.
“To be recognized as one of the top fetish studios is very gratifying, especially considering the level of the other four nominated companies."
Severe Society took a chance with "Strap-On Idol" bringing parody to a new niche — combining mainstream crossover appeal with fetish action.
"This has been an amazing year, for us as a company and for the fetish industry as a whole," said Jimmy Broadway, Severe Society co-owner, producer and director.
"Fetish is becoming increasingly more prevalent in mainstream society, and we are thrilled to be one of the companies helping people to discover their kinky side. We hope to continue to lead the way as this niche expands even further. Being named 'Fetish Studio of the Year' would be extra special for Severe Society Films, as we are now truly a studio.”
The company said it is currently moving its operation to a new 4,500 square-foot shooting space in downtown L.A.
The XBIZ Awards Show, presented by MyFreeCams, is scheduled to take place Jan. 10.
