LOS ANGELES — Retired adult performer Lori Alexia, also known as Penna Piererra, died on Sept. 19 in Brooklyn, N.Y., the victim of an alleged murder, according to published reports.
Alexia, whose legal name was Lora Ann Evans, was 31. Police say that Alexia's boyfriend Woody Borgella, 29, allegedly shot and killed Evans inside their apartment after an argument about money. He is suspected of second-degree murder.
Borgella wrote “I smell murder where the wind blows,” on his Facebook page three days before he is believed to have committed the crime, according to reports.
A close friend of Alexia's created a tribute site for her at PennaPiererra.com, detailing her recent goings-on during her post-porn career.
Alexia performed in more than 80 adult movies between 2004-08, working for several top production companies, including West Coast Productions, Evasive Angles, Hustler Video, Evil Angel and Elegant Angel.
Numerous industry veterans reacted to the news of Alexia's passing with messages on Twitter.
Performer and talent agent Tee Reel tweeted, "RIP Lori Alexia, you're a wonderful person a wonderful spirit — save me a dance love."
Performer Sincerre Lemmore said, "I just found out my friend Lori Alexia just passed, she will be missed...too beautiful and young to die so soon."
Actor-publicist James Bartholet tweeted, "She was a great lady and friend and she will be missed."
