The KSEX brand will continue, but operational control will fall under Ultimate Radio’s umbrella.
Porn jockey Wankus, who hosts a live show in the site three times a week, sees the acquisition as a positive step for KSEX.
“We’re excited,” Wankus said. “Ultimate Radio brings a brain trust of sales and marketing experts to KSEX. Strong listenership gains are on the horizon.”
While some industry watchers might think that KSEX will be nothing more than a marketing platform for the Ultimate brands, Sean Trotter, president of UEG, couldn’t disagree more.
“They’re [KSEX] a great niche brand and they made their name by being real,” Trotter said. “We’re very similar. Our brands are all about not being fake. So we think that we’re a good fit together.”
When asked if competitors would be able to sponsor KSEX and appear on the station’s programs, Trotter was quick to say yes.
“Anyone can be a sponsor,” Trotter told XBiz. “The more competition, the better.”
KSEX, which has been in operation for five years, offers fans and industry professionals continuous Internet radio streams featuring personalities like Stormy Daniels and Taylor Wane.
