Apple Files Complaint Over iPhone Porn Domains

CUPERTINO, Calif. — Apple has filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Forum (WIPO) over seven domain names that include the term “iPhone” and forward to hardcore mobile porn.

According to reports, the domains include the iphone4s.com website — the same name as Apple's latest handset that lands on hardcore site Free Naughty for Mobile.

Other domains include: iphonecamforce.com; iphonecam4s.com; iphoneporn4s.com; iphonesex4s.com; iphonexxxforce.com and porn4iphones.com.

The domains’ owners are being shielded behind the Whois Moniker privacy service.

The iphone4s.com domain was originally registered in August of 2008, more than three years before Apple unveiled its iPhone 4S, which has industry watchers scratching their heads wondering why Apple didn’t grab the domain before releasing the handset?

Apple does own the domain name for its previous iPhone model, iphone4.com, while iphone3gs.com and iphone3g.com forward to non-Apple sites.

WIPO is a specialized agency of the United Nations. WIPO and ICANN regulate the rules for domain ownership known as the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy that applies to top-level domains including .com, .net, and .org.
