LOS ANGELES — Joao Control and Monitoring Systems, which has filed scores of patent infringement suits against the adult biz, including one just last week against GameLink, now has filed a lawsuit against the operator of GlobalSexMall.com and PlayDollsXXX.com.
The suit alleges the same charges as GameLink's latest suit — that it infringes on U.S. Patent No. 6,587,046 — but it also levies another count: Joao Control said GlobalSexMall's operator also is infringing on U.S. Patent No. 7,277,010.
Both patents relate to video delivery, including transmission through live cams.
Porn directory site GlobalSexMall and talking porn star doll site PlayDollsXXX are operated by Steve Paled, who also runs Las Vegas tourist and business directory LVHotline.com and traffic network site GlobalVIPTraffic.com.
Paled is a longtime adult entertainment entrepreneur who previously owned adult clubs in New York, including the chain Gold Fingers.
Paled did not respond to XBIZ request for comments on the suit filed at U.S. District Court in Los Angeles.
GameLink spokesman Jeff Dillon told XBIZ on Wednesday that the company wouldn't have comment at this time on last week's suit, as the company just found out about Joao Control's latest claim. GameLink also was hit with a suit last year by Joao Control over U.S. Patent No. 7,277,010.
