SAN FRANCISCO — Good Vibrations is co-presenting a press event for journalists and bloggers with New York Times best-selling author Christopher Ryan, who is making a rare San Francisco visit from his home in Spain.
Ryan, is the author, with Calcida Jetha, of “Sex At Dawn: The Prehistoric Origins of Modern Sexuality.”
Hosted by Good Vibrations staff sexologist Queen, Ryan will speak to members of the press about his book, which invites readers to re-imagine human evolution and sexuality, the company said.
“In ‘Sex At Dawn,’ renegade researchers Christopher Ryan and Cacilda Jethá debunk almost everything we think we know about sex,” Good Vibes said in a press release. “Dan Savage declared it ‘the single most important book about human sexuality since Alfred Kinsey unleashed Sexual Behavior in the Human Male on the American public in 1948.’ ‘Sex At Dawn’ has won several book awards and topped the New York Times bestseller list and NPR’s Favorite Books collection.”
In an event co-sponsored by Good Vibrations, Ryan is hosted by the Center for Sex & Culture at its new space at 1349 Mission in San Francisco, on Nov. 7 from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
