Fun Factory Claims Success at Recent Trade Shows

LOS ANGELES — Fun Factory recently exhibited at the Los Angeles Women’s Expo and the Berlin Venus trade shows, which highlights the versatility of its brand, the company said.

The Los Angeles Women’s Expo featured speakers such as actress/activist Jane Fonda, shopping, makeovers and rejuvenation events geared for female consumers.

According to the company, while the majority of the participating companies promoted more traditional products, such as candles, purses or make-up, Fun Factory was met with anything but resistance.

“We sold hundreds of products every day and ran out of everything by the end of the show, ” said Joe Curtis, CEO of Fun Factory’s Los Angeles-based subsidiary.

Fun Factory displayed Smartballs, DeLights (G-spot vibrator), and the Fun Factory cosmetic line Love Yourself.

"I had a 78-year-old woman come by asking if she could wear Smartballs even after not having sex for many years,” said Emilie Rosanvallon, communications manager Fun Factory USA. “We talked and she left our booth with a DeLight, a Yooo and Smartballs!"

While Fun Factory exhibited its health-focused product line at the L.A. Women’s Expo, the company also participated in the Venus Berlin show.

“Business is going incredibly well this year,” a Fun Factory representative said. “The U.S. is also picking up so we’ve had to increase our production capacities.”

Each night after the show, specialty cocktails were served at the Fun Factory retail store in Berlin, which was designed by the New York designer and architect Karim Rashid. After the Venus show ended, Fun Factory invited all customers to stay with them in Bremen for two days to take a tour of the factory.

“ It’s important to us that our customers see our unique manufacturing process in Germany,” says Dirk Bauer, founder and owner of FUN FACTORY. “They got to see how most of our toys are finished by hand, watch our engineers work on motors and talk with the co-founder of Fun Factory, who spent the last 15 years of his life at the factory, engineering machines, chips and vibrators.”

Memo De la Vega, business development manager of Fun Factory USA said, “Our favorite part of the visit in Bremen was the off time we spent together with customers doing a treasure hunt in historic Bremen or the evenings we spent the Heartbreak Bar.”

Fun Factory said it is preparing for the 2011 Winter ANME Show in Burbank. To set up an appointment, email Emilie.rosanvallon@funfactory.com or memo.delavega@funfactory.com.
