CalExotics Notes Spike in COLT Vibe Popularity

CHINO, Calif. — CalExotics says there’s been a spike in the popularity of the COLT Metal seven-and-a-half-inch vibrator after being featured on NBC’s “The Office.”

The public caught a light-hearted glimpse of the vibrator in the Sept. 29 episode, called “The Incentive.”

“Customers excitedly told us about the COLT Metal 7.5 inch vibrator being featured on ‘The Office’ while we were at the eroFame Show. Everyone thought it was great product placement and got a kick out of it,” said Susan Colvin, President and CEO for CalExotics. “We encourage retailers to capitalize on the mainstream product placement by stocking the entire COLT Collection.”

Nichole Grossmann, social media coordinator for CalExotics, said, “The contest was a quick response to the buzz surrounding the episode. We networked with ‘The Office’s’ Facebook page and fans to create momentum for the entire line of COLT products. The response was great — it got a lot of people talking about COLT and CalExotics.”

The COLT Metal 7.5 inch vibrator is a ABS silver-plated, vibrator with a smooth, seamless finish. As with the entire COLT Collection by CalExotics, it comes in bold, easily-identifiable packaging that represents the COLT brand.

“As a brand that has been around for over 43 years, we expect that many people recognize the strength of our brand and know that one word represents quality — COLT! We are very happy that the production designers at The Office chose our product to represent this segment and feel incredibly honored,” says John Rutherford, president and creative director for COLT Studio Group.

“Being featured on a mainstream, network show like ‘The Office’ is sure to impact sales on the retail level,” says Jackie White, vice president of sales for CalExotics. “I encourage stores to stock COLT heavy. Also, ask store employees to tell customers that COLT was featured on The Office. You could also put up an ‘As Seen on TV’ sign next to COLT products.”

The entire COLT Collection is available to order from CalExotics.
