LAS VEGAS – The International Lingerie Show wrapped today with exhibitors and attendees leisurely conducting business down to the show’s final hours.
Wet introduced a newly launched minted silicone and water-based lube that contains aphrodisiacs and is co-branded with ExtenZe. “It comes with a countertop display too,” Wet’s J.C. said. “It’s going to be big-time.”
The company also introduced a new slatwall display for retailers featuring black panels and shelving with signage that features product information and can be updated with new releases. “It’s great for black or white walls and is not overpopulated with product,” J.C. said. “It’s very high-tech looking.”
Chocolate Walrus, which primarily sells its range of erotic chocolate at ILS and its Reno, Nev.-based retail location, debuted new boxes of rainbow-colored penis-shaped chocolates that to the surprise of Chocolate Walrus’ Louise is flying off the shelves.
“Chocolate Walrus is run by a mother-daughter team,” she said. “My daughter [Tammy Borde] said the new chocolates would sell but I didn’t believe her … now I’ll have to go back and admit that I was wrong – as a parent, I hate that.”
According to Louise, the reason why the erotic chocolatier’s products taste so good is because the chocolate is from the same manufacturer as See’s Candies and every new creation is tested at the store. With about several different varieties of shapes and colors, she said Chocolate Walrus has counted up to 7,500 molds it’s used to make them.
Rude Industries, which debuted an expanded collection of branded T-shirts in various designs, offered deals that included free gifts for retailers to pass along to consumers and 90-day shipping on its new line.
“What’s really unique about our shirts is that they’re made from bamboo and there’s no paper waste made from manufacturing them,” Rude Industries’ Mike Mead said. “Rude shirts are perfect for all women because they complement all body types and there’s no reason all women shouldn’t feel sexy.”
