CLEVELAND — Jayda Diamonde, known in adult for her penchant for using large toys, has landed a part in a mainstream indie film as a porn star.
The self-proclaimed "Queen of Extreme"recently wrapped production on “Boot Tracks," which is billed as a dark, psychological thriller about a recently released convict seeking vengeance.
The movie is based on the book with the same title.
Diamonde appears alongside Hollywood stars Stephen Dorff, Michelle Monaghan and Willem Dafoe. The performer said that being in Cleveland during filming proved to be a stroke of luck because the co-producer of the film was looking for an actress to play an adult film star.
She accepted that role, along with the chance to play other parts in the film.
“I want to be like Sasha Grey and do more mainstream roles in the future,” Diamonde said. “Raven Alexis appeared on Adult Swim’s ‘Children’s Hospital’ and Tera Patrick was on ‘Aqua Teen Hunger Force,' and that’s just a few of the adult starlets who have gone Hollywood recently. The door is wide open for adult stars to transition to mainstream — I want to be the one they’re talking about for some time. My fans will get to see another side of me and that excites me.”
Production for “Boot Tracks” wrapped in August, while the movie is slated for release in May 2012. Diamond also did an interview to discuss her roles in the film in the Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper.
