Industry Vet Rebecca Weinberg Joins Icon Brands

SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. — Adult industry veteran Rebecca Weinberg has been named director of product development for Icon Brands novelties, effective immediately.

“I’m excited about this new challenge,” Weinberg said. “The team at Icon Brands consists of a group of professionals I know and respect. I have a great feeling about the inaugural line and the future of this innovative company. Ultimately, our success is contingent on the product itself. Being the director of product development is a great responsibility and I appreciate the vote of confidence.”

According to the company, Weinberg brings to Icon her expertise in product development and sourcing, as well as experience in key account sales, gained over the course of eight years in the adult products industry.

Rebecca spent three years as an e-commerce buyer before joining Topco Sales in 2005, where she helped develop several collections, including 69 Collection and the Climax series. In 2009 she moved to Doc Johnson Enterprises, where she specialized in private label partnerships, sales and product development. After a brief period of consulting for accounts including Icon Brands, the company offered her a full-time position.

“We’re so excited to have Rebecca here,” said Joanie Lee, Icon Brands vice president of sales. “Rebecca was so helpful to us with our launch that when the opportunity to have more of her time presented itself, we just couldn’t pass it up.”
