Hollywood, Calif. – On Friday night, Larry Flynt will induct porn legends Veronica Hart and Eric Edwards into the Hustler Hollywood Walk of Fame in a ceremony at the company's flagship store.
The Hustler Hollywood Walk of Fame, which features handprints and signatures akin to its mainstream counterpart, has been around since the beginning of the Hustler Hollywood store. Hustler selects inductees who have achieved the status of porn icon. Those who have been immortalized on the sidewalk outside of Hustler Hollywood include Larry Flynt, Jenna Jameson and Al Goldstein.
“We’re looking for people who have significantly impacted the adult industry in a positive way over the years,” Jimmy Flynt Jr. said.
According to Flynt, both Veronica Hart and Eric Edwards more than fit the bill.
“They are both legends in the industry. Both represent the industry extremely well and are very deserving of recognition,” Flynt Jr. said.
Edwards, who has survived numerous personal setbacks including a bout with cancer and financial hardships, holds the distinction of being the only actor to have performed in films from the 1960s through the 1990s.
Hart, who holds a degree in theater from The University of Nevada at Las Vegas, has appeared in more than 100 films. She has appeared in numerous mainstream films, most notably in the Paul Thomas Anderson film “Boogie Nights,” which was partially based on Hart’s own child-custody battle.
While Hustler’s Larry Flynt will host the induction, the focus of the event will be on honoring the performers.
“This is a chance for the fans, who have followed the careers of their favorite actors, to come out and celebrate their achievements,” Flynt Jr. said. “This is about the performers and their fans.”
The induction ceremony is open to the public. It will be held at Hustler Hollywood, located at 8920 Sunset Blvd., Friday, March 10 at 8 p.m.
