LOS ANGELES — The AIDS Healthcare Foundation and other local AIDS activists are hoping to take their mandatory condoms campaign to the voters with a proposed ballot measure.
The Los Angeles Times reported that activists want to include the measure on the city’s June 2012 ballot.
In order to get the measure on the ballot, activists must submit a petition with at least 41,138 qualifying signatures by Dec.23, city election officials said.
The article interviewed three proponents of the measure including AHF President Michael Weinstein, former porn performers Derrick Burts and Darren James.
