SAN FRANCISCO — Lavender Lounge Studios is calling its latest DVD cover controversial because it depicts a model masturbating onto a Bible.
The cover is for the movie “Scenes from the VIP Room Volume 2.”
“There’s nothing illegal about defacing a Bible, but I’m sure it’s going to push some people’s buttons,” director Mark Kliem said. “I am reminding people in a creative way that it’s just a book.”
Volume 2 contains five scenes with a variety of men in different situations including the masturbation Bible scene. The “Scenes from the VIP Room” series combines hardcore scenes with amateur footage that appeared in the membership section of its website.
