CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Private Media Group filed its second adult tube site suit of the week, aiming this time at HardSexTube.com.
Private attorneys says that a search of the tube site's content revealed more than 62 instances of copyright infringement. The suit names HardSexTube.com's parent company, Hungary-based Netvertising Ltd., operated by Richard Szeles and Laslo Racz.
Wednesday's filing at U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, was typical of the tube site suits Private's Fraserside IP division has waged in recent months: The company identifies content where its watermarks and logos are deleted, blurred or obscured and files suit, naming in the suit the operators as well as their unnamed advertising business partners, including webmaster program affiliates.
Private said in the suit that the tube site is one of the larger in the biz drawing more than 4 million surfers per day and ranks at No. 310, according to Alexa.
It also said that the videos have been viewed more than 1 million times on the site, "available for months and for some videos, years, on defendant’s website."
The suit seeks an injunction, damages of up to $150,000 per instance of infringement and a transfer of the website's domain name to Private, among other demands.
Since November, Private's Fraserside IP division has waged eight copyright suits against adult tube sites; so far, four of them have been dismissed and likely have been settled. Those four dismissed suits include complaints against the operators of JizzBo.com, JizzOnline.com, YouJizz.com, JiizzHut.com and Slutload.com.
Earlier this week, Private filed suit against the operators of PornVisit.com, Mark Faragalla and Mina Faragalla of Beaumont, Calif., for allegedly streaming 25 videos on the tube site.
