CHINO, Calif. — CalExotics has teamed up with rock and roll icon Phil Varone to sponsor The Sex, Standup, Rock and Roll Show.
The event is similar to an old-fashioned variety show with an edgy, modern twist, the company said. Taking place at the Key Club on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip, The Sex, Standup, Rock and Roll Show takes place June 21, with the doors opening at 7:30 p.m. and the show starting at 8:30 p.m.
“I’m the modern day P.T. Barnum with the goal of entertaining anyone and everyone,” Varone said. “If you give them something different and entertaining, they will come.”
The show features rock stars, comedians, specialty acts, adult stars and Stash Bags filled with prizes, including products from California Exotic Novelties.
“When Phil asked if we’d contribute something to be given away in the Stash Bags we jumped at the opportunity. Those bags have a reputation that rivals the swag bags given away at other, major, Hollywood parties and events,” said Desiree Duffie, director of public relations for California Exotic Novelties.
Performers for the June 21 Sex, Standup, Rock and Roll Show include comedians: J Chris Newberg, The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live; Skippy Greene; Jeff Burghart, Comedy Central; Daryl Wright, Showtime and Allison Weber. The musical guest will be Matt Kramer from Saigon Kick plus a special appearance by Leif Garrett.
Al Bloom, Director of Marketing for California Exotic Novelties comments, “Being part of shows and events like The Sex, Standup, Rock and Roll Show gives us an opportunity to showcase our products to a whole new audience,” said Al Bloom, CalExotics’ director of marketing. “Everyone knows rock and roll is sexy, therefore it makes perfect sense that California Exotics toys are part of the fun.”
Tickets cost $20 and are available through the Key Club’s website, KeyClub.com
There will also be an after party for the release of Phil Varone’s celebrity sex tape, “Phil Varone’s Secret Stash.”
“We’re thrilled to be a sponsor of the show. I am sure the lucky ‘Stash Bag’ winners will enjoy their California Exotic vibrators,” said Susan Colvin, president and CEO of California Exotic Novelties.
