CUPERTINO, Calif. — It’s being called “porn mode.”
The new Mobile Safari browser, part of Apple’s iOS 5 mobile operating system announced this week includes a feature that allows web surfing without saving or caching any of the user’s data.
According to reports, once a user exits the browser there’s no trace of what site’s been hit or what’s been downloaded.
The colloquially termed “porn mode” or private browsing also has other features. It can be enabled by users when borrowing someone else’s device allowing them to log in and check email without ever having to log out the original owner.
