LAKE WALES, Fla. — Days after Kimberly Kupps was arrested on 13 obscenity counts for content distributed over the Internet, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd has declared war on the manufacturing and distribution of porn in his county.
“We want a wholesome community here, we don’t want smut peddlers,” Judd said, “and if they try to peddle their smut from Polk County or into Polk County we’ll be on them like a cheap suit.”
Judd made the comments to FOX 13 in Florida.
“They should heed the warning: If you engage in creating or selling obscene materials we are going to lock you up, and we enjoy that," he said.
Kupps, who co-operates KimberlyKupps.com with her husband, was charged Friday with 13 obscenity counts for content distributed over the Internet.
The 5’ 10” 55-year-old big-boobs-niche performer had been on the radar of the Polk County Sheriffs Department for three months.
The Sheriff’s Department booked her under statute 847.5 on 13 counts of “wholesale promotion of obscene material.”
Industry attorney Lawrence Walters told XBIZ Monday that the arrests over alleged obscenity is "more evidence of the erotophobia that is pervasive in the Polk County Sheriff’s Office."
"I hope that these recent victims of the Sheriff’s anti-sex campaign are victorious in their upcoming 1st Amendment battle,” he said. "Many are questioning how two adults creating adult material in their home could possibly be illegal."
