NEW YORK — A new magazine that claims it’s challenging traditional porn by creating a throwback publication similar to classic men’s titles of yesteryear has received mainstream buzz on the ABC Nightline program.
Jacques Magazine, published by husband and wife team Danielle and Jonathan Leder, said there are too many “silicone” and “raunchy” images in today’s magazines.
The publishers are attempting to bring back the “integrity and ingenuity” of porn by featuring real American women with “freckles” and “pale faces.”
The magazine’s semi-nude layouts are shot only on film and will not use girls with implants, waxed pubic areas or “skinny Russian girls.”
The ABC report also interviewed Playboy’s Hugh Hefner and Vivid co-chairman Steven Hirsch who both commented on their respective views of the industry.
