Put on by Evergreen Events, which specializes in gaming-related conferences, the Sex in Video Games Conference intends to focus on the design, development and technology of sex in video games from a national as well as international perspective.
Lectures already scheduled include “The Future of Sex and Technology,” “The Making of The SeXbox: Applied Hardware” and “Sex in Games: Where Are We Now?” Panels include “Designing Successful Online Erotic Games,” “Creating a Massively Multiplayer Online Erotic Game,” and “Integrating International AO Success into The U.S. Market.”
“This conference is long overdue,” said Dave Taylor, a game consultant and programmer who lists “Doom” and “Quake” on his resume and also is scheduled to lecture at the conference. “The staggering progress in PC rendering and simulation technology that has been relentlessly driven by the game industry for years is now poised to turn the entire adult entertainment industry on its ear.”
In line with Taylor’s assessment, the Sex in Video Games Conference will have a strong focus on business matchmaking and networking, according to Suzanne Freyjadis-Chuberka, president of Evergreen Events.
“In an effort to focus on the business of digital erotic entertainment this conference will help to facilitate conversations that will enable both the game industry as well as the adult entertainment industry to develop a more mature perspective on Adults Only games as well as ways to grow that segment of the industry,” Freyjadis-Chuberka said.
Registration for the event can be done directly on the Evergreen Events website.
