The 112-page full color hardcover book is authored by Timothy Archibald, who also shot the photos of the inventors and users, offering a glimpse of a growing sector of contemporary suburban and small-town American sexuality.
Stein, inventor of the world’s first Internet controlled sex machine, The Thrill Hammer, is one of the few commercial machinists featured in the book.
“It is quite an honor to be featured in this book,” Stein said. “The photos of myself and the machine were shot at the Chicken Ranch brothel in Nevada where we were setting up to do some live shows from there. Getting my picture taken by Timothy felt like getting my picture taken by Annie Leibovitz; he has an amazing eye.”
Stein has traveled to New York City, San Francisco and Portland to meet fans and sign books with Archibald.
