CUPERTINO, Calif. — Apple has debuted two new iMacs that feature nearly twice the processing speed, advanced graphics, FaceTime HD cameras and ultra fast Thunderbolt technology.
The new iMacs start at $1,199 for a 21.5-inch model with a 2.5GHz i5 Intel processor and a 500 GB hard drive with an AMD Radeon HD 6750M graphics processor.
There are also two 27-inch models. One is priced at $1,699 and has a 1TB hard drive with a AMD Radeon HD 6770M and the other is priced at $1,999 and has a 1TB hard drive with a AMD Radeon HD 6970M.
The new camera supports high-definition calls between all FaceTime HD-enabled Macs, plus standard calls with other Macs and the iPad 2, iPhone 4 and current iPod Touch.
In addition to one Thunderbolt port on the smaller iMac and two on the larger one, the computers also feature four USB ports and a FireWire port.
