LOS ANGELES — Digital Playground has shipped its first girl/girl movie, "Cherry," from writer/director Kay Brandt and Jewelbox Films.
The provocative movie, the first episode in an ongoing story-driven series, has generated strong buzz thanks to weeks of promotion and a positive response to the trailer. The sneak preview can be seen at JewelBoxFilms.com along with exclusive cast photos, free downloads, wallpaper. It is optimized for iPhone and iPad users.
“I’m excited to be a part of DP’s evolution,” Brandt said. “Nobody in the girl-girl market is making this kind of film or telling this kind of story. The response to ‘Cherry’ so far has been amazing. I’m honored that Digital Playground believes in the vision of Jewelbox Films.”
“We are so proud of the work Kay’s doing,” Digital Playground’s CEO Samantha Lewis added. “The movie is so gorgeous and it teases all of the senses. ‘Cherry’ is truly a sensual experience that will appeal to women, men and couples.”
The movie stars Digital Playground contract star Riley Steele, who says going to set every day was a treat.
“I’d never shot an all-girl movie before and I can’t believe how much fun it was," Steele said. "The sex scenes were so incredibly hot. All of the women I worked with were beautiful inside and out. I can’t wait for my fans to see me in a whole new light!”
Steele is the reigning XBIZ Crossover Star of the Year.
“Cherry” also features performances by Nina Mercedez, Sinn Sage, Celeste Star, Lux Kassidy, Ann Marie Rios, Vicki Chase, Ash Hollywood, Raylene, Zoey Holloway, Diamond Foxxx and mainstream actress Judy Thompson.
