The two companies have been in negotiations for the past month and reached a firm contractual agreement this week, according to Love, who announced the launch of Shy Love Productions last week.
“I have been reviewing our options for my new company for several months,” she said. “Going with Vicious is the logical choice for my company. The marketing efforts behind the company will get the ball rolling much faster.”
Love added that Vicious Media’s track record of promoting, advertising, branding and publicizing the studios it distributed was critical to her decision.
Shy Love Productions' first title, "That 70s Ho," is slated for March 14 release and stars Love, Brooke Haven, Jenna Presley, Roxy Jezel and Nadia Styles. The company plans to release 25-30 titles this year, shooting exclusively in high-definition.
“I believe I speak for all of the partners here at Vicious when I say that we are lucky to have Shy's new company as one of our clients,” Vicious CEO (and Love’s husband) Eric Hunter said. “Shy's brand is international. With her consistent public appearances and feature-dancing schedule, we will directly hit more end retail and VOD customers than through more traditional means of marketing.”
