NEW YORK — Penthouse has inked a deal with The Chow Group to open a Penthouse Club in the heart of downtown Auckland.
General Media Communications, the publisher of Penthouse magazine, said the move is part of its international growth strategy to expand the company's global footprint for its brands and businesses.
The club, which is scheduled to open in early 2013, will be located at 75 Victoria Street, directly across the street from Skycity Tower.
"The Penthouse Club Auckland will be something totally new for New Zealand," said Michael Chow, co-owner of The Chow Group.
"It will be a first class entertainment venue focused on hospitality, great service and a fine dining experience catering to the business and professional community, along with everyone who grew up with the world-famous Penthouse brand.”
The interior of the club will consist of three floors, fine dining and the Penthouse Key Girl entertainers.
"We are very excited to be involved with The Chow Group not only because they are an experienced property investor and operator but also because of their enthusiasm, youth, vision and the opportunity to grow together throughout Australasia," said Jeff Stoller, director of global club licensing for Penthouse.
"The new Penthouse Club Auckland is not only a terrific new club, but it is also important because so many people visit Auckland from all over the world and especially the region, and we can cater to the global demand for our brand. We are confident that the Penthouse Club will be a positive part of that experience."
