XBIZ Welcomes Attorney Lawrence Walters as Blog Columnist

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce the addition of noted 1st Amendment attorney Lawrence Walters to its roster of distinguished blog columnists.

The blog, titled “Law of Sex,” will explore the cutting edge legal issues relating to adult entertainment, intellectual property and critical e-commerce developments. It will also analyze legal and political issues impacting the regulation of human sexuality.

“I am proud to contribute to the continued success of XBIZ by agreeing to becoming one of its official bloggers," Walters said.

"The Law of Sex is intended to meet the desire for up-to-date information on important legal issues impacting the industry on a seemingly daily basis.  We hope to provide unique insight into the development of the law in the areas of technology, piracy, obscenity and censorship of erotic expression."

Walters heads up the Fla.-based Walters Law Group, a boutique law firm focusing on the 1st Amendment, Internet, intellectual property and gaming law. The firm specializes in advocating for the rights of adult content producers and distributors.

“Larry Walters will be a great addition to our stellar lineup of bloggers,” said Don Parret, XBIZ's executive director of publishing. “His years of legal experience will offer webmasters key insight into the adult online space with a 1st Amendment perspective.”

Over the years, Walters has received numerous accolades including ASACP’s Service Recognition Award. In 2005 Walters was appointed to the Board of Officers of the 1st Amendment Lawyers Association, a nationwide group of 1st Amendment practitioners. He currently serves as the group’s national chairman.
