LOS ANGELES — Aaron Brink, aka adult performer Dick Delaware, knocked out Larry Robertson in 55 seconds on Saturday night at Rage in the Cage 150 at the Wild Horse Pass Casino in Chandler, Ariz.
In a dominant performance, Brink (24-20) peppered Robertson (6-1) with jabs before flooring him with a left upper cut and finishing him with another punch on the ground before the referee waived off the contest.
"The crowd went totally silent. Everyone expected me to lose to this guy," Brink told XBIZ.
Robertson did not land a single strike on Brink in suffering his first defeat.
Brink's victory set up two more fights for him in the Arizona-based Rage in the Cage promotion. First on April 16 he'll take on Shawn Frye; and then he'll get a June or July date with Dan Severan, one of the pioneers of MMA who has returned to competition in Rage in the Cage.
The matchup with Severn was announced in the ring Saturday immediately after the fight with plans to get the fight in April. But on Monday Severn's camp indicated he wanted more time to prepare for Brink. Severn was among the original UFC competitors in the early days of the promotion during the early to mid-1990s.
"The crowd came unglued when they heard that," Brink said. "It's a major blessing. My fingers are crossed that Severn doesn't pull out of this and we get to do this."
In another development, Brink has also signed to face UFC veteran Kevin Randleman in MMA Xplosion on May 14 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Brink and Randleman go way back. The two actually fought on the same UFC card in 2000, at UFC 28 in Atlantic City, N.J.
Brink recently played Electro in Vivid's upcoming "Spider-man XXX" parody. The Huntington Beach, Calif., native has fought professionally since 2000 and performed in adult movies since 2002. Currently, he is one of the leading heavyweight contenders in Antigua Pictures' MMA-porn series "Battle Bang,"
He immediately returned to training on Sunday and is now fighting out of Team Spine Crank in Tempe, Ariz.
