LOS ANGELES — Aaron Brink, aka adult performer Dick Delaware, will return to professional mixed-martial-arts competition this Saturday night at Rage in the Cage 151 at the Wild Horse Pass Casino in Chandler, Ariz.
Brink (23-20) will fight unbeaten Larry Robertson (6-0) in a featured bout in the light heavyweight (205 pound limit) division. The seasoned veteran last fought on Feb. 19 in the same venue at Rage in the Cage 149, losing to Brad Peterson via a third-round submission after a hotly contested battle. His performance landed him the fight with Robertson, whose six career victories have all come in the Arizona-based, Rage in the Cage promotion.
Brink, who recently played Electro in Vivid's upcoming "Spider-man XXX" parody, hails from Huntington Beach, Calif., and has fought professionally since 2000. The one-time UFC competitor, who made his adult film debut in 2002, performed in the first season of Antigua Pictures' MMA-porn series "Battle Bang," where he was one of top heavyweight contenders. Volume 1 is available now.
He has been training for Saturday's fight in both San Diego and Ahwatukee, Ariz., and believes he is in the best shape of his career.
"I'm being referred to as 'the measuring stick' of RITC and MMA," Brink told XBIZ. "If you can beat me then you can go on to be a champion, but if not I will send you back to your day job."
Brink continued, "Henceforth, I am at a similar fork in the road in my career after going 1-2 in my last three fights which places me on the chopping board for the Top 5 ranking in the Rage in the Cage light heavyweight division."
Known in MMA as "The Pornographic Puncher" due to his adult industry exploits, Brink said that a win against Robertson "will rejuvenate my career."
Brink's agent, L.A. Direct Models owner Derek Hay, will be attending the show along with a pair adult starlets, according to the fighter.
"I'm ready," Brink concluded.
