Brink was defeated by Brad Peterson via an arm lock with four seconds left in the third round.
Brink said he actually thought the fight was over when he briefly relaxed and the fight was stopped when he yelled out in pain from the submission hold.
"It was a dogfight to that point and he just caught me at the end," Brink said.
In spite of the loss, Brink has been invited back to fight on March 19 in another Rage in the Cage show.
"[The promoter] said it's the best he's ever seen me look," Brink said. "He said we put on a show. Peterson came into this in great shape and he kept it on the ground the whole time. I don't think he landed one punch. He was going for the takedown every time."
The fight was Brink's first action since Oct. 9 when he lost to Vitor Vianna in MMA Xplosion at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. He is now 23-20 in a MMA career that has spanned 12 years.
Peterson, a former NCAA All-American wrestler fighting out of the Phoenix-area, improved his record to 4-3.
Hailing from Huntington Beach, Calif., Brink has performed in adult movies since 2002. This week he will play the part of Electro in director Axel Braun's "Spiderman XXX" parody for Vivid. Last year he performed in the first season of Antigua Pictures's MMA-porn series "Battle Bang," where he was a leading heavyweight contender.
