Orenstein said the union is a natural one, as Clousot – who has made a name for himself with large, big budget adult features that are dialogue heavy and laden with character development – has recently been involved in two films for the company: “Eternity” and “Camp Cuddly Pines Power Tool Massacre.”
Clousot told XBiz that the new deal – inked today – reflects mutual interest from both parties in joining forces. He added that he will begin directing his first film for Wicked in March, while two big budget feature films may follow at the end of summer.
“We’ll start putting out something new at the end of March,” Clousot told XBiz. “We’ll start slow – nothing too crazy right now.”
The videographer/director has worked in adult for more than a decade with a long list of credits to his name, including Sin City titles “Ablaze,” “Payback” and “Dawn.”
"It makes perfect sense to me to make Wicked my home base, since we've been like a family since day one,” Clousot said. “I'm very happy to finally be with a company that supports me and shares my vision."
Beginning in February, Clousot will work behind the camera exclusively for Wicked, with an option to begin writing and directing for the company later in the year.
"Francois has a great eye and has become our directors' first choice for videographer,” Orenstein added. “On the recommendation of Brad Armstrong, I am very happy to add Francois to our family and I look forward to what he has in store for us with the movies he will direct."
