The show management said, “At this time we believe it is not appropriate to host the show whilst the state recovers from such a severe natural disaster. Our thoughts, support, and love go out to our relatives, friends, patrons and all people affected by this event.”
Show staff said it is currently dedicating itself to raising funds for the flood relief by providing special promotions for volunteers that are assisting with getting Queensland back on its feet.
“Sexpo would like to thank the BCEC, exhibitors, performers and patrons for their support in changing the dates and would like to encourage everyone to donate to the flood relief,” said general manager Rob Godwin.
A website for those interested in donating to the fund can be found here.
