The studio will shoot exclusively in high-definition, with Love directing, producing, performing and acting as president. Love also announced a deal with Vicious Media, co-woned by her husband Eric Hunter, to market and distribute her videos as well as help brand and promote her fledgling company.
“I have been preparing for this moment since I first entered the business,” Love said. “I have performed, directed, produced, feature danced, made in-store appearances, hosted events, hosted TV shows, appeared in magazines. I have left no stone unturned learning every aspect of this industry so I could ultimately take that knowledge and apply it to my own production company.”
Love added that she will oversee all aspects of the company, from creative decisions to daily operations.
While the company will initially focus on the domestic DVD market, with 30 titles planned for release in 2006, Love said she will place a heavy emphasis on branding to help drive demand for content through other distribution channels and overseas.
Shy Love Productions' first title, "That 70s Ho," is slated for March release and stars Love, Brooke Haven, Jenna Presley, Roxy Jezel and Nadia Styles.
